Well, it's about that time!

We are getting soooo close!  And that means it's time for us to law down the law....just kidding.  But seriously, there are a few wishes that Kyle and I have that we would like to share with everyone else.  Let me first start off by saying that a lot of these wishes stem from my experience after I gave birth to Jaidyn, as well as some things that we have seen or heard from our friends.  I was overwhelmed with guests before and after Jaidyn was born, and I think that this interfered with some really important things, such as bonding and breastfeeding.  Kyle and I would like to limit hospital guests to grandparents of the baby, and aunts and uncles of the baby.  So, basically this list includes: My mom, Reece, my dad, Barb, Joyce, Larry, and any of my siblings.  We would also like for only have those who received their vaccines there.  But, I think that everyone got theirs, which we would like to thank you all for!  That is very awesome of you!  Thanks for helping keep our little guy healthy :)  Also, when we actually go into labor, the only ones that we intend to tell are those mentioned above, our midwife, and our doula.  Probably the most important thing that we ask is that you keep this news to yourself until after the little one has arrived and we have made an announcement ourselves.  We are trying very, very hard to keep it off of facebook.  So please, no status updates or wall posts, unless something goes wrong and we need some prayer.  Even after he is born, we would like you to keep the information off of facebook (his name, stats, etc).  It's really important to us that we be the first ones to announce our little guys arrival, including pictures.  So, we would also like to ask that no one post pictures of the little booger online.  After he has made his arrival, we would like around 2 hours of bonding time for just me, Kyle, Jaidyn, and the baby.  We are praying really, really hard that breastfeeding is successful, and this time will allow us to hopefully get the hang of things before people come to visit.  Plus, this is going to be a huge, new thing for Kyle and Jaidyn :)  As far as visitors once we have arrived home (I will be in the hospital for at least 48 hours), we are thinking that giving us a week to settle into our new life would be best.  We obviously aren't going to post a sign out front that says, "Those who haven't been vaccinated, come back in 6-8 weeks", but just please use your best judgement here.  If you are sick, please don't come.  And if we could avoid drop by visits, that would also be wonderful!  You probably don't wanna catch us all laying around in our undies, and lets face it, it's going to be hott outside, so it's a definite possibility! ;)  We really hate to throw a huge list of rules out to everyone, but we are hoping to make the smoothest transition possible into a family of four!

A quick list
No visitors in the hospital other than grandparents and aunts and uncles of the baby.  If you are not on the list, but are dying to come see him, please call/text and ask us first.  We will probably ask if you're up to date on your Tdap though, so don't be surprised!

No status updates on facebook announcing that we are in labor

No status updates on facebook announcing the arrival of little P

No pictures sent via text message or facebook of the baby

Please don't inform others via text message or any other way of communication that we are having the baby.  Everyone will find out soon enough!

Please allow us to announce our babies arrival with updates, stories, pictures, etc.

For those visiting the hospital, please allow 2 hours of bonding time with our new little family

Please no visitors in our home for at least a week after we have gotten settled in (this doesn't include immediate family)

Please don't visit the baby if you are sick.  We will have to be evil and turn you away :/

The most important thing on this list is to start praying now!  Pray for the healthy arrival of our baby boy, pray that we make it to the hospital on time, pray that I don't kill my husband during the drive there or during labor/delivery, pray that he is born 100% healthy, pray that we are able to breastfeed, pray that Jaidyn will be able to handle such a change well, just pray pray pray!  That's the most important thing that you could do!  Also, if you could pray that mama make it through a drug free birth, that would be great!!  I will need all the prayers that I can get for that!
